… with our recommended seasonal superfood.
Pomegranates - This exotic fruit is considered a superfruit. It’s loaded with vitamins C and B, potassium, folic acid and iron as well as antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties that help the prevention of cancer and heart diseases. Each of the crunchy, edible seeds (translucent capsules filled with a sweet or tart juice and a tiny seed) is a source of fibre and can be eaten alone, or used as a garnish. Pomegranates are available from October through January. However, don’t be too greedy: while pomegranates definitely have some good assets, they are also pretty high in naturally-occurring sugar.
